A Touch Of Nyonya Breeze

For tonight's dinner..we had nyonya food..been a week or two since we last had nyonya food..We went to Nyonya Breeze which is located at Lorong Abu SIti Lane,Penang,if looking from the direction of the shop..its just opposite Red Rock Hotel..Their food is good..and if you go on Saturday..it will be packed and crowded with people..Okay..for now..let me introduce the dishes served at Nyonya Breeze..

For appertizer,we had Crispy Basil Leaves-Basil Leaves deep fried in a delicate, crispy batter and served with suitably delicious dipping sauce..

We also ordered a plate of Inche Kabin which is deep fried chicken served with prawn crackers and a dipping sauce of "ang mo tau eu"(american soy sauce)..to me..this is one of the best dishes at Nyonya Breeze..The taste of the chicken goes so well with the soy sauce..and the skin of the chicken is soooo crispy..Mmm..

Next we ordered Egg Belanda-fried eggs cooked with nyonya style sweet and sour sauce..Its one of my Uncle's favourite dishes..and there is also "tau eu bak" which is Pork belly cooked with thick soy sauce and beancurd..

Also we had "Huan Chu Heok" (Sweet Potato Leaves) stir fried with sambal..For those who doesnt like sambal..they can try it in a different style which is prepared using coconut milk (lemak style)..

If any of you prefer something else..then try also the "Sambal Keow" (Eggplant with Sambal), or "Kari Kay" (Curry Chicken)..

However..there are a few disadvantages of the shop, cause its hard to find parking space on certain days cause its limited..as for the food..not all the dishes are served daily..but most of them..are served on weekends..So try it out if any of you is thinking of having Nyonya Cuisine..
